I am in Fort Worth today for training and slept in, so I had to run tonight.  It was 90 degrees + humidity, so I did not have high expectations.  I drove over to the Trinity Trail systems.  They are great trails that go forever.  Lots of runners, walkers, bikers and families out.  I went out 2.5 and back 2.5.  The heat didn't bother me at all but my calves were extremely tight and pulling on my feet, creating burning in my arches.  More stretching needed.

I ran with Paula and Renee today.  We had a great time visiting and catching up.  Paula and I did the first 4 together and the I ran home for a bathroom break while she picked up Renee and then we finished up with 4 more.  Glad to be home.

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY to my daughter IZZIE!!!

Early morning run with the  BBK.  We met and warmed up for 2.5 and then began the work out.  We did another 10 min at easy pace and then 15 min at marathon pace and then 5 recovery.  We did another 15 at marathon pace and then recovered back to the parking lot.   Today flew by.  It did not feel like 8 miles at all.  I had the worst attitude going but left feeling much better and even a little excitement is coming back.

I ran with Cheris and Julie today.  We ended up with our "long run" of the week today because they had conflicts on Saturday.  I felt better than last week but my stomach was a mess.  I have decided I think it might be dairy related so I am cutting back on my dairy between now and the marathon to see if that will help.  We had 7 slow miles and 3 mp miles. Overall a good run and my house actually might get cleaned tomorrow.

I do not know when the last time I slept in until 7 (except Sundays).  It was still hard to get up and go run, but really nice running with some good sleep!  Paula and I met up and headed out.  She had hurt her foot this morning and was very tough for 3 miles but then had to turn back. I went to finish up and decided to throw in some marathon pace miles.  I ended up with 3.5 miles at marathon pace.  It was nice to get some fast leg turn over and feel really good about today's run.
