Glad to be done.   Glad the stress and worry is over.   Glad to have had another great marathon experience.

I slept at Marcie's last night and we had the benefit of riding up on a shuttle with her uncle.  It was very nice to be able to wait in the van until about 1/2 hour prior to the start.  I lined up up front with Heidi, Natalie, Mike and Peggy and wished them all good luck as they took off.

Michelle M and Cheris passed me during the first mile and they were speedy.   I saw Dean about mile 3 and couldn't catch him but he had stopped and came up behind me right before mile 5.  We stayed together until about mile 15 and he was an awesome pacer!  Took me right up Veyo nice and steady and along the way.   I felt great until about mile 21 and then I got really tired - could have had a nap.    Waved hi to my mom and kids at the church and then tried really hard to finish strong.    The last couple of miles were very difficult.   Told myself no walking and was able to finish pretty strong.

I am very happy with my time and a new PR.  It was great to see everyone have such great races.

So sore!   I am on the road again in San Diego and grateful for a gym.  15 min on the bike and 15 on the eliptical to loosen things up.

Signed up for the Runners Series because I am completely crazy.

Happy Running!

30 min on the eliptical and 10 min of steep hill walking.  Calves are much better, no more stiff legged walking, but still very sore!

30 min power walk with my hubby.   Both the calves and my left hamstring are still very tight.

Also, reported to Dr. Toronto and no running for the rest of the week and we will see what Monday brings and how the legs are feeling.   Kind of sad not to run tomorrow but sleeping in is really nice.

Ran with Paula and it was nice to be back out.   The hip felt okay until about 2.5 miles but there was never any pain, just annoying.

I had originally planned to meet the BBK's today but my hip was bothering me a little last night so I decided to take the day off.  That lasted until I was awake at 5:30.   Only ran three but the effort felt much harder than it should have.  The hip was about the same as yesterday.

A couple of days off for the hip.  It was headed right back to where I was before, so I am going to take off until Monday and then see how it does.   Traveling the next couple of days so  running would be limited anyways.

A 10K on the hotel treadmill in India.   The hip hurt and I probably went farther than I should have but I am missing running and my behind is growing daily.

30 min on the bike and then 10 on the eliptical.  I had planned on more but could feel my hip starting to act up so I was done.  I had stretched really good and rolled my hip and leg on a baseball last night and it seemed to be much better this morning.

Another 10K on the hotel treadmill.  Hip is about the same even after lots of rest and NSAIDS, so I am going to run.   Not really sure how to approach this or what the solution is, but since rest is not improving the situation, no reason to miss out on running.   Also if I do not start running soon I will need to buy an extra seat on the airplane ride home....

Another day on the treadmill.  Will be ready to be home, but not looking forward to the snow.  Hip felt about the same but is feeling better during the day - go figure?
