Went out today to test and see how I felt.  We had a pretty slow pace, 9:40, but I felt okay.  My arch is still sore off and on and my knees felt pretty good most the time.  There was just one instance that I had the sharp pain.  In thinking through all of this more and understanding a little more of what is going on, I think this all relates back to my tight calves about a month ago.  The tight calves pulled on my foot creating Plantar Faciitis.  This in turn is causing my gait to be off which is hurting my knee.  I all but 100% confirmed this today when I did just that and that is when I go the sharp pain.  So today I will continue rubbing my legs down with the "stick",  and icing and rolling my baseball under my foot. The plan is to take it easy again tomorrow and then work back up next week.  Enough of my whining about my "injuries"

Today is 80's day at my work.  We have been planning for almost two months and have been very excited.  I was supposed to go to the DI last night and get my costume but because of kids and baseball practice and movie nights (no school in our district today) and a work crisis  it did not get done.  So I am left to peg my pants and flip up my collar.  I want my pink high heels with socks  and big bows and really, really big hair.  Not happening.

Happy Leap Year & Happy Running!

I seriously think you need to take some pictures at work today. Although I don't think they could even come close to your award winning 80's prom from Halloween a couple years ago.

Good job getting a few miles in and working out the injury situation. Have a nice trip to Idaho for the weekend.

It's smart to be careful about your running when an injury is looming. You gotta love the stick. Have fun at this crazy work day and for sure take some pictures and post...we all need a good laugh now and then! :)

Jody, get well soon, deep massage on those calves? Do you feel any knots in them?

I agree with Brent, a good deep massage might work some stuff out. (plus, it feels pretty great later).

Im going to be waiting for a big hair pic to show up on your blog. Nothing like the 80s, what were we thinking? (I include myself because I was alive in the 80s ;)

Hey Jody- you can never whine too much about injuries on the blog. Its important to document it anyway- it helps all of us and also yourself when you look back on it. Anyway- I wish I held onto my flouresent "limited" sweatshirts, black madonna bracelets and big earrings from Express. Those would really come in handy on 80's dress up days. Too fun! Hope you had a blast & I hope to see pics!
