Today we ran on the shoulder of the road, the DRY shoulder of the road!! I had forgotten what is was like.  It was a beautiful thing!!

I had a difficult time getting going this morning.  The first couple of miles were rough but as we hit the 2.5 mile mark we had a good up hill stretch.  I told myself to really push it up the hill.  I felt much better after I had done that.  I felt great until we hit about 8 miles and the last mile was pretty slow.  My stomach was starting not to feel so well and I was needing to get home fast. Made it home okay. 

We had only planned on 8 today so 9 was a pleasant surprise.  Felt good most the time and Paula ran awesome today!!

Isn't something when we are grateful just to have a dry shoulder to run on? Good job on the last mile. Its easier on the body to run slower at the end anyway.

9 miles in one day - what is going on here???? You are doing great! Glad you were able to run on the road and not have to deal with ice and snow. Have a good day at work...

9 miles! That is so great! Glad you had good weather and dry roads. Funny when dry roads throw me into a mild spring fever... Whats your plan for increasing miles etc? You are such an inspiration to me! Thanks!

Jody, is not it great, when 9 miles is easy. The WOW team has really got out there this winter. It sounds like you recovered from the 10K ver well. 10 commando points for picking it up on the hill.

Bethany - Good questions. My mileage plans are pretty basic. Mon - Thurs 8 miles. Fri - we are just working into 6 days so we will start off slow. However every week I think we can - something comes up, mostly at work early to leave early. Saturdays are long runs. Right now we are at 13 miles and need would like to get up to 15-18 by the end of March, but we will see. Sorry - very long answer.

Maybe your body doesn't remember how to run on dry streets? J/K. The tummy trouble sounds like no fun, but great job on the 9 miler- what a nice start to the week!!! BTW- Hubby & I rented season 3 of The Office this past weekend (love it), thought of you!
