Today was 4x5K day with the BBK.  My goal for today was to run two at marathon pace. I used the first 5K as a warm up and then started the second.  The second 5K was 24:16 with an ave pace of 8:05.  The third was 23:23 with an ave pace of 7:45.  We took the fourth and used it for a cool down.  I really love these 5k repeats.  I am very happy with how these went and that the last BIG speed work out is done, easy miles with some strides from here on out.  My mind still is not ready to taper, but my body is saying "TAPER NOW!"

I am jealous of how many miles you have run this week already. What is the BBK?

...Great job on your run today. It sounds like a fun way to do it. I will have to try it sometime.

Britta - BBK stands for the Bingham Butt Kickers. They are a great group of people that run down in South Jordan.

Wow, Jody! You're on FIRE!!! So, you must've walked or something in between your 2 fast 5k's? What a fun way to do a speed workout. But, I agree, it would be nice to have it behind me, too! ;o)
