Now that my right knee is feeling better, it is time for the rest of my body to have issues.  I have been having this pain in my left calf  right where the calf muscles meet behind the knee.  I have been stretching and having my husband work on it but it is still bothering me.  When I got up today I was limping a little so I decided to call it a cross training day.  Paula and I went to the gym and did the machine kind of like an elipticle and then rode the bike.  I definitely could tell my legs needed the cross training because they are very week.  My new pain bothered my a little bit during the work out but was gone by the time we were done.  Lots of stretching when I got home and some planks for core work.  Not sure what to do for  mileage today, maybe 4.5?

Happy Running!

If it's not one thing, it's another! Well, I guess it keeps life interesting. Nice job getting a good workout in, despite the pains. Keep it going, your doing awesome!

Ah man, sorry about the new calf issue. Smart to cross train today!

I'm glad you have some other options for some cross training! I hope it helps you out!

Are you sure it is the calf and not the hamstring?? Brent has had some problems behind the knee too -- and at least his sounded a lot like a pain I had that was actually from the hamstring (I thought it was calf too but I went to see a therapist and he told me it was actually hamstring). I know I am going to sound like a broken record (since I tell everyone this) -- but foam rollers are awesome http://www.performbetter.com/detail.aspx_Q_ID_E_4918_A_CategoryID_E_235

They are a cheap alternative to painful deep massages (although it will never replace your husband ;-) ).

Good luck!!

I was sorry to read about your vandalism. That is terrible. I hope you can catch the kids that keep doing it or hope it doesn't happen again. Hope your calf gets feeling better.

Didn't see a post from you today, hope the body & the vandals are letting you get some rest!
