No run yet today.  Paula called and had to cancel so I got up to head out on my own and my achilles was a little sore.  I decided to rest it a little more today and then re-evaluate tonight.  I am not as concerned as I was yesterday morning.  It felt pretty good all day yesterday, so I think with a little rest, stretching and massage I should be okay.

Happy to hear that your achilles is feeling a little bit better. Hopefully tomorrow you will feel good enough to run. Reading your posts motivates me to push a little harder and do better.

Have a great day!

Sorry to hear about that. I have heard that sometimes you can alleviate the problem with a higher heeled shoe initially. And then once you have recovered you can go to something more neutral which will allow the muscles of the foot to strengthen themselves. Over the years I have trained in racing flats, slowly building up the frequency and mileage to the point where I can wear them all the time if I so choose. However this is assuming that you have no other issues like over pronation etc.

I have yw tonight from 7-8:30. I could go with you after that or before that. Let me know if you want to go.

That is the tendon that did "Achilles" in, dont want to tempt that one! Hope you feel better soon. You deserve a day off!

Good thing to rest the achilles. So why are you & I falling apart now that Spring is so near? I have a weird hip thing going on... but I'm still at the "watching it" phase. Love for you to join me & Michelle Fri and/ or Sat. for a run? I realize you may already be joining up w/ Marcie? I would love to meet up with you guys and watch you disappear into the sunrise (speedies!)...
