Cheris, Michelle and I did our 22 mile run today.  I have been scared and apprehensive about todays run.  We started out slow and then progressed through out the run.  It was very dark and we had a good head wind the first little bit but slowly the sun came up and finally the last third the wind was to our backs.  We had 1 bathroom break at mile 10 and took three GU's along the way.  I wanted to see how my body would handle three because I have never taken more than two.  I felt great the entire way today!  At the end I know I could have done more, this is so encouraging.  Today was the best I have felt after our 20 milers.  You never know what will happen on race day but this is a good sign that things are going well!

Thanks girls!

Josse - I am really excited for the race but am sad that today was the last long run - what is my problem? It has taken me so long to build up and feel great (all good things) but I am kind of sad to start the taper - I have some serious issues!

Awesome Jody! I read your entry and thought it must be the day. We had a great run also and I feel so good. It is encouraging to feel this way after such a push. You do have some issues cuz I am totally ready to taper. See ya next week.
