Today's run was pretty uneventful. We had rain the entire time and a into the wind for the first 1.5 miles and again towards the end for .75 miles. I added some speed work in during miles 4 & 6. It has been a long time! Nice soggy run! Hopefully my shoes will dry out for tomorrow.

PM:  We met up with our running friends for a night run to look at the lights.  We headed and ended up going 2.25 miles at a very slow pace - too much talking and catching up!  I am only counting one mile the other mile can count as the walking and stopping.  We had a great time and hopefully get out together again!

Happy Running!

Jody,

I was going to check out your blog and thank you for the birthday wish. But then I noticed your blog title and I'm not sure if I can bring myself to say something nice to you ;') My wife will be happy though. See we are in a mixed marriage. I grew up on the southside of Chicago and she grew up on the northside. So I guess in the nature of Christmas I can get over the Cubs thing and thank you anyway...

Great run getting out the door in the rain. I'm going to hold off another hour or two to see if it stops...

I can't believe you and Paula these days. Nothing is stopping you - rain, snow, ice, wind... nothing! You're a running machine!!

Adam,

Just look at it this way- You guys have won a World Series in the last 99 yrs and we have not.

Nice job in the rain today! You're getting in some serious miles lately!!

Wow!! Total dedication to run in the rain and wind, I can take one or the other on most days but both seems a little much!!!

Wind and rain--what kind of miles will you be running when the weather is actually hospitable? Great job Jody!

Jody, some point is here, marathon time for you in 2008? You are running 2 a days? Wind, rain, slush, snow, speed work? Nothing stops the Mail-Fast Blogging Chicks. You could go run the Outback with James/Mona Flash (By the way, chicks is not my term, it has been coined by some of the male runners on the blog being concerned about be beaten by "chicks").
